Not instant but.. A good thermometer for the price, but definitely not instant. Worked well, then broke. I don't know how it happened but somehow the wires that connect the probe to the read out came loose. Great Thermometer. I work in a nursing home kitchen and this is the best thermometer we have ever used. Digital Thermometer DOA. Opened package, turned thermometer on and nothing. A necessity for safe cooking. Instant read digital thermometers are a must for safe kitchen cooking and also to prevent overcooking. It does the job. Works fine, reads quickly. MIU Digital Cooking Thermometer. Thermometer displays temp after 8 - 10 seconds, as advertised. NOT INSTANT READING. THIS THERMOMETER TAKES ABOUT 12 SECONDS TO STABILIZE TEMPERATURE. Excellent tool! I have found this thermometer very helpful when cooking fish and chicken on the grill. Had 2, neither worked. I ordered this thermometer and when I got it, it would not turn on.
Wonderful tool! This is a fantastic thermometer. This product did not work. I purchased this product but when I opened it to use it the first time, the thermometer didn't work. Nice thermometer, but. mine only reads up to 302 degrees, not 500 as it says in the description.
